In the year 2001, a technological revolution quietly commenced as the first batch of eager undergraduates set foot on our campus, nestled comfortably under the wings of Egerton University. Leading this charge into the digital frontier was none other than the visionary pioneer, Mr. Benard Masita, the very first Head of Computer Services.

But this was just the beginning. The seeds of our current technological prowess were sown right after our campus was elevated to the prestigious status of a Constituent College of Egerton University. It marked a turning point, a moment when our destiny intertwined with the evolving landscape of information and communication technology.

As we fast-forward to the years between 2009 and 2012, the stage was set for an epic transformation. This was the period when our institution was chartered as Kisii University, and at the helm of our ICT department was the capable Mr. Kiptoo. His leadership steered us through the turbulent waters of transition, guiding us towards our future as a thriving university.

But the story doesn't end there. Enter Mr. Moffat Barongo, a visionary appointed to lead the department, entrusted with the monumental task of shaping and fortifying the policies that would become the backbone of our university's ICT landscape. With time, the baton of innovation and progress was passed to the capable hands of Ms. Esther Makori, who, in turn, handed it over to the dynamic Gordon Ouma.

And now, the torch of leadership is firmly held by the brilliant Ms. Marianne Mongeri, our current ICT Manager, a beacon of inspiration. Under her guidance and the collective efforts of these exceptional individuals, both men and women, our ICT department has blossomed. It has grown not only in capacity but also in the tangible infrastructure that supports our technological aspirations.
