DVC ARSA hosts African Technology Policy Studies Network (ATPS)

The DVC ARSA, hosted guests from the African Technology Policy Studies Network (ATPS) during a high-level review and evaluation visit for the transformative project on the Application of Multilingual AI Technology for Improving Food Safety, Supply Chain Monitoring and Reduction of Post-Harvest Losses in Kenya. Led by Dr. Cynthia Mwau (PI) and Dr. Vincent Bulinda (Co-PI) from the School of Pure and Applied Sciences, the project is harnessing inclusive and responsible AI to empower smallholder farmers with tools to assess produce quality, access market information, and connect to transport services in their own languages. The initiative reflects the University,s commitment to research that creates lasting impact and ensures that women farmers, the elderly, and persons with disabilities are not left behind in Kenya,s agricultural transformation
