Dr. Edward Ngubo Moracha holds Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology (Kisii University), M.A Counseling Psychology (USIU) and a Bachelor of psychology (Counseling). He is the current chair of the Department of psychology. He is greatly concerned about youth psychopathology and psychosocial issues, positive psychology and empowerment of the youth through psycho- education and counselling. He has published articles in peer reviewed journals.  He has a wide experience in counselling and Psychotherapy. Apart from designing, preparing and developing courses, modules and curricula, he also conducts and supervises research.  He gives motivational talks that inspire individuals on societal challenges.
He occasionally gives talks on youth and trainings with cooperate organizations. He is a professional trainer and an accredited counselor member by Kenya Counseling and Psychological Association (KCPA).

Dr. Michael Mbiriri holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology (Daystar University), M.A Counseling Psychology (USIU) and a Bachelor of Education Degree from Egerton University. He is greatly concerned about family psychosocial issues, wellbeing and empowerment of the youth through Counseling and psycho- education. Mbiriri is currently the coordinator of postgraduate students in the department of psychology. He is a board member of Kisii university AIDS control Unit.  Besides teaching, he has published numerous articles in peer reviewed journals. In addition he has rich experience in Psychotherapy, assessment and diagnosis of mental disorders. Apart from designing, preparing and developing courses, modules and curricula, he also conducts and supervises research. Periodically he delivers speech that inspires the audience to reflect upon their own life in some profound way that gets them to change their behavior or take a specific action.He occasionally gives talks on Family and marriage issues in the mainstream media stations as well as writing articles in Daily newspapers in Kenya. He is an accredited counselor Supervisor by Kenya Counseling and Psychological Association (KCPA).

Dr Samson Barongo, PhD, is a Lecturer in the Department of Psychology and has BED (ARTS) from Egerton, MA- Counseling Psychology-USIU and PhD- Clinical Psychology: (DAYSTAR). He is an interdisciplinary researcher. Widely published in marriage, family therapy.  Currently engaged in Alcohol and Addiction research. Has interest in community outreach. Other strengths are capacity in many thematic areas of psychology and social sciences

Dr Rose Anyngo Otieno, PhD. Clinical Psychology, MA Counseling Psychology, BA Psychology & Counseling), Bed (Arts).
Dr. Rose Otieno holds a Doctor of philosophy degree in Clinical Psychology from Daystar University, Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Daystar University, Bachelor of Arts in Psychology & Counseling from the University of Nairobi and Bachelor of Education Arts from Kenyatta University. She is lecturer in the same department. She has extensive experience in teaching, research and supervision of psychology students at undergraduate, masters and PhD.  She is a mental health specialist, with many years of experience in research, training and provision of mental health care. Dr. Otieno is a renowned psychologist/psychotherapist with many years of experience, has played a leading role in advocating for the provision of mental health services. She a member KUPCA and also the current Vice Chair, a member of ISSUP, Kenya Chapter, the current Gender Mainstreaming Committee in the university and a member of other committees. Dr. Rose is a research fellow with AIRPIA, and a winner of African Diaspora Carnegie Fellowship. She is a reviewer for the journal African Journal of Clinical Psychology, a publication of Daystar University  She has also participated in various proposals for grants. She is a mentor to the youth through her program, Firm Foundation
