3. Biography:
Dr Rose Anyngo Otieno, PhD. Clinical Psychology, MA Counseling Psychology, BA Psychology & Counseling), Bed (Arts).
Dr. Rose Otieno holds a Doctor of philosophy degree in Clinical Psychology from Daystar University, Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Daystar University, Bachelor of Arts in Psychology & Counseling from the University of Nairobi and Bachelor of Education Arts from Kenyatta University. She is lecturer in the same department. She has extensive experience in teaching, research and supervision of psychology students at undergraduate, masters and PhD. She is a mental health specialist, with many years of experience in research, training and provision of mental health care. Dr. Otieno is a renowned psychologist/psychotherapist with many years of experience, has played a leading role in advocating for the provision of mental health services. She a member KUPCA and also the current Vice Chair, a member of ISSUP, Kenya Chapter, the current Gender Mainstreaming Committee in the university and a member of other committees. Dr. Rose is a research fellow with AIRPIA, and a winner of African Diaspora Carnegie Fellowship. She is a reviewer for the journal African Journal of Clinical Psychology, a publication of Daystar University She has also participated in various proposals for grants. She is a mentor to the youth through her program, Firm Foundation
