The departments of Educational Psychology, Early Childhood Education (ECDE) and Special Needs (SNE) endeavors to provide students with quality educational experiences and support services that will lead to the successful completion of degrees and diplomas. A staff of twenty qualified fulltime personnel and part-time lectures foster academic and career success through development of critical thinking, effective communication and creativity in safe accessible and affordable learning environment and research.
Educational Psychology is critical in teacher preparation as the teacher is led to understand the theory and practice of individual difference that each child has different mental ability and learns at their own pace. Early Childhood Education programme is the foundation for all levels of learning. The department therefore strives to produce educators who demonstrate more positive interaction with children while delivering quality outcomes and establish appropriate learning environments. Special Needs Education exposes teachers to study how to handle learners with exceptional abilities. The education calls for inclusive learning environment, on which teachers are trained.Our teachers have an edge in job search over other general educators and are exposed to new career opportunities
