Biography:
Linet Mangare is a professional nurse specialist in Medical-Surgical Nursing (Adult Nursing). She has a special interest in chronic diseases, especially hypertension, diabetes Mellitus, arthritis and cancer. She teaches in the nursing department of Kisii University. Her main teaching areas are medical surgical nursing, fundamentals of nursing, general pathology and research. She has experience in training of nurses.
Academic Qualifications:
1. 2023 to Date: PhD Nursing (ongoing), University of the Free State, South Africa. Proposal Title: A Nurse-Led Health Communication Programme for Adult Patients Diagnosed with Hypertension in Rural Kenya
2. 2012: Master of Science in Nursing (Medical-Surgical), University of Nairobi, Kenya. Thesis title: Factors Influencing Use of the Nursing Process in Naivasha District Hospital, Kenya.
3. 2002: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN), University of Nairobi, Kenya
Research Interests: My research interests are in chronic diseases and the fundamentals of Nursing.
