Dr. Omwenga Eric Omori is a registered Medical Laboratory Technologist (A016479) and a Biomedical Scientist with a bias to Medical Microbiology. He joined Kisii University in 2009 in the School of Health Sciences as an assistant lecturer and he has risen through the ranks, and he is currently a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Medical Microbiology and Parasitology. He has served as a Coordinator postgraduate studies in the School of Health Sciences and currently he is the Chairperson of the department of Medical Microbiology and Parasitology. Antimicrobial resistance and genes profiling.
Bacteriophages – isolation, characterization, and applications as alternative strategies in management of AMR strains.
Antimicrobial, antiquorum sensing, antivirulence and antibiofilm properties of phytochemicals.
Nanobiotechnological applications in delivery of lead active/antimicrobial compounds to microbial cells and mammalian cells.
