Biography:

Dr. Wafula is a Senior Lecturer of Accounting and Finance at Kisii University’s department of Accounting and Finance. He previously held academic appointments at Mount Kenya University and Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology. He holds an MBA and Ph.D. in Accounting from Lawrence University. Prior to his academic career, he worked as a Principal of several High Schools in Kenya.
His consulting activities include serving as an expert witness on issues related to the mutual fund industry, providing valuation expertise for mergers and acquisitions, and developing quantitative targeting models that detail compatibility between securities issuers and institutional investors.
His current research interests include institutional investor trading strategies and their relation to stock and bond returns and conflicts of interest in the delegated portfolio management industry. His research publications include papers in the Journal of Business Management, International Journal of Academics and Research, and International Journal of Business and Management Science.

Dr. Wafula has published widely in the field of Accounting, Finance and Management. His research interest is in quantitative standards for the implementation of internal market risk model by banks; Sentimental inclination of the Average Capital Market investor and the Relationship between Auditor’s tenure, Audit firm size and Auditor’s independence.

Biography

Dr. Francis Nyarombe is a highly accomplished and respected Lecturer with over 20 years of experience in the Academia. He is a member of the Kenya Institute of Management, A Lecturer in the School of Business and Economics, Department of Finance and Accounting at Kisii University and adjunct Lecturer in other Universities and other institutions of high learning. He has conducted Research in different areas of business and economics especially in Finance, Banking, Entrepreneurship, Small Business Development, Economics and Management. He is also a Trainer, Coach and Mentor to many staff in different organizations. He provides consultancy services on various aspects of finance, accounting, banking, entrepreneurship, small business, management, monitoring and evaluation, national policy guidelines and economics. He provides advice on National policies and strategies in areas of finance and economics.

His expertise lies in creating unique and functional spaces that blend seamlessly with their surroundings. Some of Francis's most notable achievements include; Designing with other committee members, Planning and Implementation of University Strategic Plans, Preparation of Budgets and Break – Even Analysis for the Campus, Provision of Strategic Leadership to ensure attainment of a higher performance levels of the University Campus, providing consultancy services to small and medium enterprises in urban areas on areas of Financial Management and Preparation of Financial Reports. Overall, Francis Nyarombe is a talented and dedicated professional who has made significant contributions to the field of Finance, Accounting and Economics. His commitment to excellence and prudent financial management of resources make him a valuable asset to any institution he is involved in.
