The Vice Chancellor hosted elders from the Abasuba Community today with a strategic aim of working closely with them to help save the Suba language. The Suba language is an endangered tongue spoken in Kenya and the Kisii University Department of Languages are offering professional support to help rejuvenate it. Kisii University will partner with the Abasuba Community on programs that can help cast life to the language, UNESCO’s International Mother Language Day and the forthcoming Cultural Festivals being key immediate activities
