The Kisii University Youth Agribusiness Incubation Centre (YABIC) is a project focused on nurturing research-driven innovations in agribusiness and translating them into job opportunities for young graduates. The centre offers a comprehensive incubation program, where graduates develop business plans for agro-based ventures based on scientific research. These plans are then supported and funded to become commercially viable. Since its inception, the Youth Agribusiness Incubation Centre (YABIC) has supported 107 graduates in launching successful agribusinesses, contributing to economic development and job creation in the region.
