Ag. Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration and Finance)
The division is headed by Ag. Deputy VC (Administration and Finance), who has overall responsibility for all administrative matters. He is assisted by three dedicated senior staff in charge of the main sections of the division - Finance section - headed by the Finance Officer Mr. J. Mwaura
- Administration section - headed by the Registrar (Administration); Mr C. Nyenze
- Planning and Development section, headed by the Planning Officer; Mr. W. Ochieng
AIMS & OBJECTIVES OF THE DEPUTY PRINCIPAL'S OFFICE The overall aim of the Deputy VC (Administration & Finance )’s Office at Kisii University is to provide excellent leadership to all divisions/departments of the University particularly with respect to Administration, Planning and Finance, and to ensure that a high quality of support services and mechanisms exist to effect improvement and maintain standards that are recognized locally, regionally and internationally.
This overall aim is broken down into general objectives, the main ones of which are identified below.
· To assess the resources which are available to support both existing and future curricula as the university develops. · To consolidate a structured programme of staff development for faculty and ancillary staff that involves regular workshops and seminars to provide continuing professional education. · To upgrade managerial skills of administrative staff and prepare them for leadership through workshops and training exercises. · To continue to work towards ensuring that the University can be promoted as an accredited institution of academic excellence and can maintain its competitive edge, not only locally but also regionally and internationally.
